A9 lorry accident by Carrbridge

An accident involved a lorry at 10.45am has caused disruption to traffic both north and south bound on the A9.

Traffic Scotland have posted advice to motorists to approach the area with caution.

The location is A9 Carrbridge to A95 North Aviemore

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the A9 in Carrbridge at around 10.35am, following a report that a trailer had become detached from a lorry.

"Police and road management teams are at the scene."

There are no reports of any injuries and no ambulance has been required.

The carriageway between Aviemore and Carrbridge is not closed, it is partially blocked and traffic can still pass.

A Traffic Scotland spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised to use caution and allow additional journey time."
