Motorists advised to steer clear of A86 between Newtonmore and Drumgask

The A86 has been closed after a crash this afternoon.

Motorists are being advised to steer clear of the area in Badenoch.

Traffic Scotland report that the incident happened between Newtonmore and Drumgask.

Both east and westbound traffic has been halted meanwhile.

Traffic Scotland say the incident happened at 12.31:

“The A86 is currently closed in both directions between Newtonmore and Laggan due to a road traffic accident. “Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.”

No further details are as yet available but reports are expected shortly.
