Rocket man Tim lands in Kincraig!

Popular British astronaut Tim Peake found just enough space when he called in at the normally packed Old Post Office Cafe Gallery in Kincraig this week.

Hosts Toni and Ann Vastano confessed they were literally starry-eyed at the sight of Mr Peake when he ‘docked' yesterday afternoon, to share tales of his extraordinary stay on the International Space Station some seven years ago.

"It was a lovely visit!" said Ann.

"Ian Ash was on duty for us and immediately spotted Tim when he came in.

"He asked him politely 'Are you by chance a famous person, or do you just look like a famous person?'

"To which Tim replied 'I’m a famous person with a big smile', which was true."

Mrs Vastano added: "Mr Peake knows my uncle Bloo Anderson, who was his squadron leader in the old days.

"Bloo taught him how to fly Apache helicopters.

"Yesterday was just a happy coincidence although Mr Peake is not a total stranger. He has popped in a couple of times now.

"It’s a small world - even smaller if you’ve been to space, I imagine!"
