STUNNING: The Royal Marines have wowed the world.

The Royal Marines are preparing to ‘invade’ the strath next week with a long-awaited follow up to last year’s astonishing charity performance in the Macdonald Aviemore Resort.

The Rotary Club of Spey Valley say tickets are selling fast for the return of the world-renowned RM band but there are still some left for those who are quick enough.

They are set to play next Friday (May 30).

From the prestigious Royal Albert Hall and Horse Guards Parade in London to the esteemed military tattoo in Basel, Switzerland, The Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marine Scotland has captivated audiences worldwide with their programme of signature precision marching pieces and wide range of popular music.

Director of Music Capt. Ann Miller RM, the Royal Marines first female officer and former RM Scotland Band member said. "We were delighted to perform in Aviemore last year. The audience was incredibly receptive, and the hospitality we received from MacDonald's Resort was outstanding.

“The band members are very much looking forward to returning and sharing their music once again."

Proceeds from benefiting two deserving charities: (CRY) Cardiac Risk in the Young while the Royal Marines Charity provides vital assistance to past and present Royal Marines and their families.

Lead organiser Rtd Major Stewart McNeish told the Strathy: "Last year's concert-goers were spellbound by the exceptional musicianship and captivating spectacle of a full military band performance. Last year the band played a wide range of popular music and I’m sure we will be treated to a great evening. We strongly recommend booking tickets early to avoid disappointment."

Rotary Club President Pam Cairns expressed her enthusiasm for the event. "We are honoured to have the Royal Marine Band back in Aviemore to support our fundraising efforts for these two important charities. We extend our sincere gratitude to the band members and our dedicated volunteers who will ensure a memorable evening for all."

Tickets at £25 can be purchased by contacting club members or Emailing gavin@rcsv.org and can also be purchased on line via Eventbrite at bit.ly/40PqF7f
