ACCIDENT SPOT: The A9 is affected after a crash this afternoon

Badenoch and Strathspey fire brigades are attending following an accident this afternoon on the A9 near Carrbridge.

A spokesperson at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told the Strathy that appliances have been despatched from Kingussie and Aviemore to assist the community response unit at Carrbridge.

Traffic Scotland say the accident happened at 4:37pm and both north and southbound directions are currently affected.

All emergency services are at the scene.

It is reported that three vehicles may be involved.

“The A9 at Carrbridge is currently restricted, due to a road traffic collision.

“Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”
