Motorists using the A82 at Invergloy are to benefit from an improved road surface as essential resurfacing works costing £125,000 will be undertaken in January.

Works to the one kilometre section of the A82, approximately six miles north of Spean Bridge, will start Monday January 12 and are likely to take up to two weeks to complete.

The developments will be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day from Monday to Friday, with no works planned at weekends.

Due to the restricted width of the carriageway on this section of the A82 and to ensure the safety of road users and road workers, temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation while works are undertaken.

Traffic management will be removed out with working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
