Icy conditions still predominate on the strath's roads, Highland Council's latest road condition report has confirmed.

Snow showers continue in the north of the area.

This morning saw a light covering of fresh snow on higher northern routes and all roads are being gritted.

This morning's report from operational staff was published to give a general indication of typical conditions at the time.

"It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free," said a spokesperson, "and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling."
