One of Aviemore's most popular bars has closed temporarily with immediate effect after two staff members tested positive for coronavirus.

Mambos in the village centre is now working with Test and Protect to notify all customers and others who may have come into contact with the employees.

The owners posted: "A message for all our customers.

"Unfortunately we have just been made aware that two members of our team have tested positive for Covid-19. I am happy to say they are both doing well.

"We are working with Track and Trace to ensure all customers who came in contact are notified and with immediate effect have taken the decision to close.

"We will be taking all the relevant precautions to ensure when we reopen it will be safe to do so.

"In the meantime we are grateful for your understanding and support. Thank you guys."

Customers have praised the bar for its prompt action on social media and sent their best wishes the two staff members and venue.

Stephen Simpson posted: "Tough times but we will all be back when we can, chin up."
