Peatland restoration works lined up for BrewDog's Lost Forest by Aviemore
Plans for peatland restoration works for BrewDog's Lost Forest on Kinrara Estate have been submitted to planners.
Lost Forest Ltd c/o Scottish Woodlands Ltd, Fochabers, has lodged the application for prior notification and approval for the estate by Aviemore with Highland Council's planning service.
The supporting information for the works is laid out over 46 pages.
The report states: "Delivery of the project over its proposed duration will result in a significant level of expenditure being incurred.
"A considerable proportion of the planned expenditure will result in benefits to the local economy with most of the balance of economic benefit occurring in the wider regional and national economy.
"Benefits will include direct positive effects such as local employment where contractors are based in the communities associated with the Monadhliath DMG area and indirect positive effects including expenditure locally on fuel for vehicles, accommodation for contractors and consultants, etc.
