Houston ready for the fight of his life

Belief is certainly not an issue for Ross Houston as he prepares to step into the biggest fight of his life tomorrow.

Hitman Houston will walk into the Genting Arena in Birmingham tomorrow night to face Stefano Paterno for the Cage Warriors welterweight world championship.

Being able to put the title around his waist would be a culmination of years of effort and training the Inverness athlete has put in, and to say he is excited would be an understatement.

“It would mean absolutely everything,” Houston said.

“It’s going to be eight years since I started training in mixed martial arts. I’ve been doing it a long time. There’s been a lot of blood, sweat and tears gone into it, a lot of sacrifice.
