Learn how to save on energy bills this winter in Cairngorms
Two drop-in community events have been organised for Badenoch and Strathspey next week to provide information on how households can save on their energy bills.
With winter fast approaching, the Scottish Government has awarded Highland Council funding to deliver area based energy efficiency programmes in the region.
More details will be on offer at the two events about Energy Company Obligation funding which is aimed at tackling fuel poverty.
The first session takes place next Tuesday (October 8) at Grantown YMCA from 2pm to 7pm and then the following day at Newtonmore Village Hall from 2pm to 7pm.
A council spokeswoman said: “Letters from Highland Council are being distributed to home owners in the strath inviting them to call in to these sessions to meet representatives from the local authority and (energy provider) E.ON, ask questions and confirm eligibility.
“Other home owners are welcome to attend to find out more information on energy savings.”
The council also stressed that initial contact will be in writing only and no cold calling or door knocking will take place.
