Members of the CNPA's planning committee have approved two new housing developments.

A development of 40 new properties in a field to the north of Kincraig which includes 10 affordable homes and an application for 22 apartments – all affordable – in Kingussie have been given planning consent.

Both of the applications were unanimously approved by members of the Cairngorms National Park Authority's planning committee meeting virtually online earlier today.

CNPA planning convener Eleanor Mackintosh said: “As always, I welcome the provision of affordable homes in the Cairngorms National Park that are of a good standard and in the right location.

"The decisions we have to make are not always straight forward and sometimes the outcome is unpopular but I hope the public feel we have made the right choices today.”
