Pop-up LFD collection points to visit Aviemore and Kingussie
Packs of LFD tests will be distributed from several Highland locations from Monday to Thursday in the strath and beyond during the final week of free tests.
Highland Council and NHS Highland have been working in partnership to increase availability of Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests.
Free packs have been made available to the public in several outdoor locations across the region, with staff present to give guidance on how to take the test.
The deployments have not been due to any particular outbreak in the areas visited, a spokesperson said.
But after Thursday (April 14), Highland Council and NHS Highland’s Community Testing Programme will no longer be providing free LFD tests to the general public.
In this final week, each collection point may close earlier than advertised if their allocation of test kits is handed out before the advertised closing time.
Packs of LFD tests for anyone without symptoms will be available to collect at the following locations:

The service will be available until April 18. From then the advice to regularly take LFD tests will no longer be in place in Scotland, except for certain health and care settings.
LFD tests are already provided in some workplaces, including schools.
PCR tests for people with Covid-19 symptoms can be arranged by visiting nhsinform.scot/testing or by calling 119.
The advice to take a PCR test if symptomatic will remain in place until Sunday 1 May, when all routine population-wide testing for Covid-19 in Scotland will cease, including for those with symptoms.
