YOUNG (Nethy Bridge). The family of the late Derek Young wish to thank everyone who has sent cards and messages and also everyone who attended the service to celebrate his life, sharing with us their kind words and memories which have been so comforting. Many thanks to Graham Atkinson for his support and guidance and for delivering such a personal and meaningful service, at both the crematorium and the church. We would like to acknowledge the excellent professionalism shown by Nikki and her team at John Ross Funeral Services and to Nikki in particular, for communicating with us so well throughout, which ensured that the day went smoothly. Thank you to Karen's team at 'Naturally Useful' for the unique willow coffin. Thanks to Flowers by Annie for her beautiful floral arrangement, incorporating six posies to be taken away and to Chris Jamieson for the lovely sunflower arrangements in church. A special mention to Alison Bardgett for playing the organ during the service, including snippets of some of Derek's favourite tunes. Thanks to the staff at the Nethybridge Hotel for the refreshments provided both before and after the church service. Thanks are also extended to the paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service, all staff at A&E and Ward GA at Raigmore, as well as all staff at Grantown Medical Practice, who looked after Derek so well for many years. The sum of £500 was kindly donated, which will be shared between the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
