Will new Newtonmore shinty first team boss be revealed this evening?
Newtonmore are hoping to confirm their first team coaching positions this evening.
The club invited interested parties to make themselves known before yesterday.
But the matter could be referred back to the club’s committee if a suitable appointment cannot be made on the night.
President Norman MacArthur said: “We are keen to get the position filled but plans for the new season are still going on in the background with our fixtures secretary Cammy MacDonald putting together a programme of preseason friendlies.”
The announcement of any new boss is expected this evening at the club’s AGM at the Balavil Hotel in the village.

Newtonmore first team co-managers MacArthur and Evan Cheyne both made the decision to step down at the start of last month.
They said the time was right for a new face especially with so many talented young players coming through the ranks.
The Blue and Whites finished in fifth place this season with nine victories, seven losses and two draws although they were just two points off runners-up Caberfeidh.
Meanwhile, ‘More also ran a very successful sale of work at the Newtonmore Village Hall on Saturday.
Despite the inclement weather, a sizable crowd were present and as well as the usual stalls.
The event raised a huge sum in excess of £5,700 towards club funds.
Meantime, details for Newtonmore’s annual dinner dance and award ceremony have been confirmed.
The event takes place at The Balavil Hotel on Saturday 15 February, next year, with a three course meal and music from The Robert Nairn Ceilidh Band.
Tickets are £30 each.
