Strathspey Thistle boss looking for improvements to continue in local derby at Rothes
Jags boss Charlie Brown is hoping that the improved performances continue in his side's 'local derby' at Rothes tomorrow.
Brown was full of praise for his side after they gave a battling display in a 3-1 defeat to Brechin City at the weekend.
The Grantown side went into the break on Saturday level at 1-1 and could even have got their noses in front on the stroke of half-time.
However, Brechin, who were relegated from the Scottish League after losing out in the play-off last season, were back in front with a second from Ewan Loudon on the hour-mark.
The Jags boss felt there were plenty of positives to take away and that his side has put in much improve performances in recent weeks.

Brown said: “It was a tough game and the boys felt that they did enough to get something out of it.
“Everyone at the club is disappointed that we came away with nothing but the performance bodes well going forward and the games coming up.
“Recent weeks’ performances have been better but the results have not reflected this.”
Attention now turns to tomorrow’s tough fixture against Rothes in fifth place but well out of the title chase.
Brown said: “Rothes are a consistent team that performs well over the season. We know that (manager) Ross Jack will have them well-drilled and organised.
“We are going to have be organised ourselves – as we have been in recent weeks – to try and nullify our errors and make teams work for their goals.”
The Jags hope to have Chris Innes and Ashley Ballam back from ankle injuries and James Fraser will return to the fold.
It was a historic first visit for Brechin to Seafield Park at the weekend and the Jags produced a special programme to mark the occasion.
Ross Logan had equalised for Thistle in the 18th minute after Louden’s opener in just the 8th minute.
The Jags' Craig MacKenzie hit the post just before the half-time whistle.
David Cox sealed the win in the 76th minute
