Round-up from the fairways at Boat of Garten Golf Club
The men paired up to compete for the SGU Greensomes Trophy at Boat of Garten on Saturday after a month of highly competitive individual medal competitions.
This is intended to be a forgiving format, however, not all pairings found the going easy.
One couple who certainly did were John and Nathan Ross who returned a best of the day score of 38 points.
Runners up on 36 points were Mark Graham and Roy Quinn who pipped Alasdair Collier and Rory Simpson on countback.
Other teams who combined well included Ron Lyon and Ian Murray plus David Card and Trevor McBean, both teams scoring 35 points.

Also, on Saturday the ladies competed in a June medal with Pam MacGillivray (26) and Sheena Hendrie (15) returning the best scores of the day, a net 73, with MacGillivray winning on countback.
Close on their heels were Shona Fielding (18) with a nett 74 and June Clark (21) on 75.
On Sunday, the club hosted the Ladies County Foursomes competition which was won by two home players, Sheena Hendrie and June Clark (20) who were convincing winners with a nett score of 62.
Both players play out of their home club Abernethy Golf Club. Runners-up were Hilary Simpson and Linda Gillies (15.5) from Inverness Golf Club with Hazel Flynn and Jane Borley (17), also from Inverness Golf Club, third on 72.
Sheena and June will represent Scottish Golf North at the Commonwealth Spoons Final at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club on Monday 2 September.
