Ruaridh Anderson remained out through injury for Kingussie whilst Robert Mabon was on holiday but Rory MacKeachan returned after injury.

The Red and Blues had keeper Rory McGregor to thank for a good save in the first half whilst stand-in Kyles goalie John Whyte did likewise after the restart.

Roddy Young put Kingussie ahead on the stroke of half-time but Roan MacVicar levelled just 10 minutes from time to earn Kyles, who were without Ross Macrae and Scott Macdonald, a point.

Kingussie manager Iain Borthwick said afterwards: “We totally dominated the first half but couldn’t get many shots on target.

“They came at us at the start of the second half, and it was end-to-end but we didn’t really get going.

“Kyles played well and were in our faces, doubling up on a lot of challenges and working better as a team than us and I actually thought they were going to win it at one point.

“We badly missed Ruaridh Anderson and Robert Mabon.”
