PICTURES: Coyle hat-trick is not enough for Newtonmore in MacMaster Cup final

The Newtonmore under-14s lost out 5-3 to the Skye Camanachd under-14s in the MacMaster Cup final at An Aird on Saturday.

‘More went into this 11am throw up as holders and they built an early two-goal lead through James Coyle’s double in the second and 22nd minutes.

Seth MacDonald pulled a goal back a minute later and he then squared the final with his second goal on 26 minutes.

James Coyle completed his hat-trick to put Newtonmore back in front on 35 minutes.

However, from there it all went downhill for the Badenoch youngsters.

Goals from Harry Speed on 44 minutes, Eoghainn Graham a minutes after and Lachlann MacLeod just five minutes from time ensured Skye came out on top and their skipper Harry Speed received the trophy from Davie MacMaster.
