PICTURE SPECIAL: Kingussie’s incredible cup winning run continues

The numbers add up in favour of Kingussie manager Iain Borthwick who watched his side make it eight trophies at the weekend from the nine available during his tenure so far.

The Red and Blues’ 2-0 win over Lovat in the final of the WM Donald MacTavish Cup on Saturday means it is an overall 12th success from the last 13 competitions.

And there’s more silverware to come according to Borthwick who fired a warning-shot to Kingussie’s competitors, saying: “These boys have the taste of winning, and they want it all.”

There were first half chances at both ends but the Kings never looked like abdicating their crown after the restart.
