New Jags arrival Ross Logan will bring creativity and boost firepower
Strathspey Thistle boss Charlie Brown has welcomed the extra fire power of on loan Clach winger Ross Logan who has joined in time for Saturday’s tough fixture with Brora Rangers.
The 20-year-old has come to Grantown for some game time and that suits Brown just fine.
He said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ross into our squad for the remainder of the season.
“He has already lit up the Highland League with some outstanding displays and I’m sure he will continue to do so in the colours of Strathspey Thistle.
“Ross comes with bags of pace and ability.

“His direct approach to the game will no doubt create chances for others but also for himself too as his natural ability to strike the ball comfortably with both feet is something many defenders fear most in a striker.”
Logan’s arrival has come at a good time for the Jags with Kieran Chalmers moving earlier in the other direction and the Grantown club facing one of its toughest tests of the season this Saturday when Brora are the visitors.
Brown remains positive despite the lack of playing time in recent months thanks to a combination of Covid and the winter weather.
Last Saturday’s ‘away’ game against Fort William was the latest casuality with Seafield Park snowbound following the arrival of Storm Eunice.
Fort have been forced to play all league and cup matches away from home this season after Claggan Park was deemed unplayable.
Brown told the Strathy: “We’re actually in pretty good shape.
“Despite the difficulties we had a good training session at Inverness on Tuesday night and the boys are putting in all the effort.
“We have just the two injury issues at the moment, with Ewan Neil’s knee forcing his lay-off for a few weeks and Shane Harkness’ shoulder is still needing to be repaired.
“But we’re expecting everyone else to be fully fit and we’re confident of giving a good account of ourselves against Brora on Saturday.”
The Jags – like many other teams in the Highland League – are facing an unenviable backlog of fixtures at the business end of the season.
