Mini tennis festival for juniors heads to Aviemore

The Rothiemurchus courts will be the venue for a mini tennis festival this Saturday.
The competition takes places from 10am – 2pm.
Teams from throughout the district will descend on the club to compete in the final stages of the Highlands 8 & Under league.
All the mini competitions have so far been played within clusters: Badenoch & Strathspey, Moray and the Inverness/Nairn/Tain area.
The winners of the clusters will play in a group to decide the destination of the trophy.
Fighting it out to be hailed champions are Rothiemurchus & Aviemore; Elgin and Bellfield Park A.
In a second group Grantown, Rothes A and Bellfield Park B will be playing for final positions fourth to sixth.
It is hoped that a third section involving Rothes B, Lossiemouth and Inverness will be confirmed this week.
A league spokesman said: "It should be an interesting four hours, full of fun for the children."

R&A 6 Inverness A 6: Jessica Nagle lost 0-4, 0-4; Chloe McKay lost 0-4, lost 0-4. Jack Rodgers won 4-2, 4-2; Jessica & Chloe lost 2-4, 2-4. (Inverness only had three players so forfeited the 4v 4 singles and the second doubles)
