Inverness Caledonian Thistle are still in the play-off places after all the games in hand in the Championship have been played, but before they can think about their promotion chances they have a trip to Paisley to take on St Mirren in the Scottish Cup with a quarter final berth up for grabs.

Ross County meanwhile have a free week in their fight against the drop in the Premiership, but the camp is in a far more positive mood in Dingwall after battling back from behind twice against relegation rivals Kilmarnock last time out. Manager John Hughes has been talking about the importance of experience in the coming weeks, as well as the possibility of Brora Rangers getting into the SPFL.

There is also news of contract extensions at Highland League outfit Clachnacuddin, the draw for shinty's Balliemore Cup, and a new name for the Highland Pool Tour dedicated to Gavin Phillips.
