Kingussie and Newtonmore Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final is still on
Local hopes of a Kingussie and Newtonmore Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final remain intact after the draw a short time ago for the semi-finals.
The two teams have been kept apart with the Red and Blues taking on Fort William and the Eilan side facing Oban Camanachd.
Holders Kingussie were first out of the hat and were drawn against Fort who are level on points with them at the top of the Mowi Premiership.
The game is a repeat of last year’s semi-final which saw Kingussie win 3-2 with all five goals coming in the first 20 minutes.
2023 runners up Oban Camanachd will be looking to make a third final in six years against all-time record Camanachd Cup winners Newtonmore.

The Blue and Whites’ last appearance in a Camanachd Cup Final came in a 5-1 victory over Oban Camanachd in 2019.
The Camanachd Cup Final is being held on September 20 at Bught Park in Inverness in a special year for sponsors Tulloch as they celebrate their 100th anniversary.
The draw took place at the developers’ recently launched Fairview Heights development just off the Southern Distributor Road in Inverness.
Burton Morrison, President of the Camanachd Association, said: “These matches are always fiercely contested, with clubs giving everything for the chance to reach the final.
“It’s a fool’s errand to predict what might happen but what is exciting is that we have shinty’s four form teams, leading to two great match-ups…
“Good luck to all the teams.”
Kieran Graham, managing director of Tulloch Homes, said: “The excitement is continuing to build as we approach the Camanachd final and it is great to see communities turn out to support their teams.
“One of my favourite things about shinty and the Camanachd Cup is how it brings people together, and that is especially true of this season.
“As always, we are honoured to support this shinty staple and I’m looking forward to seeing which teams will make it to the final.”
