Kings are Premier League pace-setters

Kingussie are the early Premier League pace-setters after they made it two wins out of two with a late 2-0 win at The Dell against Lochaber.

Both goalkeepers Craig Dawson for the Red and Blues and Calum Macdonald for the visitors put in excellent performances on Saturday.

They traded top-drawer saves to keep the scoresheet blank, and that’s the way it looked as if the game would finish until five minutes from time.

Thomas Borthwick got his first goal for Kingussie since his return from Australia, and then he added a second two minutes later to give the home side the points.

Kings co-manager Davie Anderson said afterwards: "I was delighted with the hard work, grit and determination shown by the side and the fact that they kept going right to the end to grind out the win.

"It was a very capable Lochaber side that they were up against who will cause not only us but a lot of teams problems this season."
