Holders Kingussie face very tough first test in defence of Camanachd Cup
Holders Kingussie have been given one of the hardest draws possible as they bid to defend the Camanachd Cup.
Newtonmore and Kingussie have a better idea who they will play in their first outing in this year’s competition after the draw earlier today.
The Red and Blues travel to Skye in the tie of the second round while ‘More will take on either Glenurquhart, Bute or Col Glen.
The draw took place at Tulloch Homes’ Award winning development Drummond Hill in Inverness.
The cup final is set to take place on September 20 at the refurbished Bught Park in Inverness.

The draw in full is as follows:
Preliminary round (April 5): Glenurquhart v Bute.
First round (April 26): Ardnamurchan v Inverness; Aberdour v Glasgow Mid Argyll; Kilmallie v Strathglass; Lochaber v Kilmory; Glenurquhart/Bute v Col Glen & Inveraray v Oban Celtic.
Second round (May 31): Newtonmore v Glenurquhart/Bute/Col Glen; Fort William v Kilmallie/Strathglass; Ardnamurchan/Inverness v Kinlochshiel; Inveraray/Oban Celtic v Aberdour/GMA; Beauly v Caberfeidh; Kyles Athletic v Oban Camanachd; Lovat v Lochaber/Kilmory & Skye v Kingussie.

“The last few finals have been fiercely contested, highlighting the determination of every team to claim this prestigious trophy.
