Strathspey Thistle made high scoring Brora Rangers dig deep for a 2-0 win at Dudgeon Park.

The Cattachs beat the Grantown side 11-0 earlier this season but had to wait until the stroke of half time for Millar Gamble's headed opener.

The league's top scorer, Andy Macrae then clinched Brora's victory on 64 minutes with his 27th goal of the season.

Meanwhile, Buckie Thistle's 5-0 win over Clach very nearly extended the Jags' lead at the top of the Highland League.

Jags were relentless in the early kick-off at Victoria Park, as goals by Joe McCabe and Marcus Goodall had them 2-0 up inside five minutes.

Although there were no more first half goals, McCabe notched again within a minute of the second half and Josh Peters' 24th of the season made it four before Kyle MacLeod wrapped up the scoring.

Huntly were the first team to take points off Brechin this season and looked set to get a second draw of the season against the Tayside men until Anthony McDonald crashed home an 89th minute winner for a relieved City.

The other early kick off saw Keith fail to score for the fifth time in their last six games, going down 2-0 at home to Lossiemouth.

The Coasters, with new signing Ross Paterson in their starting line-up, scored in both halves through Adam MacLeod (pen) and Fraser Forbes to move up to 12th place.

Shock of the day came at Bellslea Park where Turriff United hit back from 2-0 down to beat champions Fraserburgh.

Paul Young and Greg Buchan had Broch comfortably ahead after 25 minutes, but Reece McKeown quickly pulled one back.

Kyle Gordon levelled for United on the hour and McKeown's second proved to be the winner midway through the second half.

On-form Formartine United made it eight wins in a row with a 2-1 success at home to Rothes.

After a goalless first half, an own goal by Rothes skipper Bruce Milne put United ahead, but Alan Pollock's penalty levelled.

Julian Wade netted his 19th goal of the season to restore the lead for Formartine, who had Keiran Adams sent off.

Forres Mechanics are getting closer to ending their win-less run but had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Wick Academy.

After five straight losses, Forres have drawn their last two after Ryan MacLeman's goal cancelled out Jack Henry's opener for Wick.

A goal by Elgin City loan winger Chris Antoniazzi got the ball rolling for Banks O' Dee in their 4-1 win at Deveronvale.

Lewis Crosbie netted either side of half-time to put Dee 3-0 ahead and although Horace Ormsby got one back, Lachie Macleod's 13th of the season wrapped up a 4-1 away win.

Strikes by Jonny Smith and Rob Ward helped Inverurie Locos to a 2-1 success over Nairn County, who netted a late penalty through Ciaran Young for a consolation.
