Good news and bad news in Scottish Welfare Cup draw
There was good news and bad news in the draw for the Scottish Welfare Cup’s second round ties.
It has seen Aviemore Thistle and Grantown Utd paired to face each other with the Jags being the home side.
It means the league will definitely be represented in the National cup’s quarter final stage but that one of the two remaining local sides wil drop into the Highland Welfare Cup’s second round.
The opening rounds of the Highland Welfare Cup have also been drawn, and Grantown Rovers will be away to North East side Cuminestown.
And should they triumph then they will then face another away tie in the first round against either RAF Lossiemouth or Rothes A both from the Moray & District Welfare FA.
Elsewhere in the first round draw, Badenoch Utd have been drawn away to North East side Portsoy, Cromdale travel to either MacDuff (North East) or Craigellachie (Moray) and FC Abernethy host North East outfit Methlick.
