Fort climb the table





Fort William took advantage of the cup quarter-finals to go second in the Premier League on goal difference above Newtonmore, though having played a game more, by defeating Glenorchy 3-1 at Dalmally.

Sandy Leiper gave the Dalmally side the lead in the first minute, only to be subsequently red-carded, whilst Daniel Stewart, on the quarter and half hour marks put Fort William in front, then Ryan Campbell added a third in the 38th minute.

Meanwhile, in a towsy affair at Drumnadrochit, Glenurquhart took on Oban Camanachd in a reversed fixture after Mossfield Park was declared unplayable.

Both sides lost a player to red cards, for the home side Andrew Corrigan, and for Oban, James MacMillan.

An own goal gave The Glen the lead on the half-hour, added to by a John Barr double either side of half-time and one from Neale Reid in the 79th minute, whilst Matt Rippon scored a consolation for Oban a minute later.
