Big chance for Kingussie to pull away at top of the Mowi Premiership
Kingussie can take a huge step towards winning the Mowi Premiership title when they play second placed Caberfeidh at the Dell on Saturday.
With the club’s second team in the HIS Sutherland Cup final, the Kingussie senior side could have opted for a free-Saturday.
However, the noon throw up allows players and supporters time to travel to Blairbeg afterwards to cheer on the colts.
Cabers are the Red and Blues’ closest rivals in the league race and currently sit three points bebhind and have played one game more than the Badenoch side.
There is good news for the Kings as Alexander Michie returns from suspension and Lee Bain looks to have recovered from a hamstring issue.

But the game will likely be too soon for Liam Borthwick although he is making progress whilst Calum Grant has a niggle.
Boss Iain Borthwick must also decide whether Roddy Young should feature or travel with the second team.
Kingussie captain Calum Grant said: “Caberfeidh have been a bit of a bogey team for us over recent seasons and they have quality with the likes of Craig Morrison in attack.
“Our whole defence matches up pretty well with most forward lines but Craig is lethal.
“We know a win helps close off our nearest challengers and that’s what we want.”
Meanwhile, Newtonmore are moving into the final stages of their season, and they complete their campaign with a double-header against Kinlochshiel.
The first fixture is at Rèaraig on Saturday with ‘More concluding their season against ‘Shiel at the Eilan a fortnight later.
Joe Coyle should return for Newtonmore.
Indeed, both ‘More teams will be travelling west to Rèaraig on Saturday with the second team playing their Kinlochshiel counterparts in a Mowi North Division 1 clash.
The Blue and Whites’ James Ross is free of suspension for this noon throw up which takes place ahead of the senior meeting between the sides.
The Newtonmore seconds have five matches remaining, all away from the Eilan.
