Weather warnings issued for Badenoch and Strathspey
A Met Office yellow weather warning is in place for snow and ice for three days from this morning.
Snow is already falling in the strath. Tuesday.
"A band of rain, sleet and snow is expected to move south during Monday followed by frequent snow and hail showers," reports the Met Office.
Today's Highland winter road conditions report issued at 7.34 confirms wet roads throughout the area, with some sleet showers.
"Primary and secondary routes are being treated.
"There were no known overnight issues."
On surrounding Inverness routes there were higher temperatures than forecast this morning, but the departement was treating all primary and secondary routes in advance of forecast weather.
Again, no issues were reported overnight.
No schools had been closed by the weather conditions at10am.
