Winter lights to go up in Aviemore

Christmas can't be too far off now after organisers announced Aviemore's winter lights will be going up tomorrow.

Aviemore Community Enterprise is looking for volunteers to help them with the job,

Chairwoman Judith Bell said: "The village's winter lights are being put up tomorrow (Thursday). If anyone can help then we would be delighted to see them.

"The team is meeting outside the Legion at 9.30 am."

ACE is also staging a race night for later this month to help with the maintenance of the lights which are displayed on Grampian Road in the village centre.

The fundraiser is on Friday 19th November and tickets are priced £10 per person including a buffet supper.
