Weather shuts schools in Badenoch and Strathspey

Parents and pupils at Kingussie High were told early this morning that the school would be closed today.

As head teacher Ian Adamson explained the decision had been taken due to "unsafe conditions for buses to run."

He posted: "Work is available via Google Classroom to allow pupils to work from home.

"Stay safe and take care."

The High School joined a long list of closures in the strath and beyond as winter's grip took a stronger hold, with more snow falling overnight and temperatures plummeting.
