Spring is here on Cairngorm.

Today’s live webcam at the Ptarmigan Restaurant confirm reports of -3C wintry blasts with a thin covering of snow.

Highlands and Islands Weather Service, based in Strathspey, had earlier reported:

“A chilly Saturday, with a fresh north to NW wind which will touch gale force at times for the Northern Isles and along the north and Aberdeenshire coast.

“Scattered showers and bright spells, showers most frequent for Moray and Aberdeenshire where some will be heavy with hail, wintry on the tops of the mountains.”
