Road closed: by a burst water main

Highland Council has announced the partial closure of Strathview Avenue in Grantown following a burst water main this afternoon.

Emergency services have been informed that the closure will remain in force for several days.

A spokesman told the various agencies: This is to notify you of an emergency road closure of part of Seafield Avenue in Grantown-on-Spey.

The closure is in place to allow emergency Scottish Water repairs of a burst water main; the information that we have at the moment is that the closure should be in place for a week but hopefully less.

The attached traffic management plan shows signed diversions that are currently in place.

The Strathy will carry updates as they come in.
