Wargamers set to battle it out at Culloden
Prizes worth up to £200 and a new trophy are up for grabs in the Cuil Lodair wargames and modelling fair, to be held at Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre next month.
Organisers for the event, which takes place on October 11 from 10am till 4pm, hope to attract wargaming and modelling societies from all over Scotland as well as providing a great event for the local community.
Inverness Wargames Group will again be a mainstay and will be running several games that the public can participate in.
There are also eight other wargames clubs booked in from all over the country and at least nine local and national modelling shops who will bring a selection of their stock for sale.
This year’s special addition will be the introduction of the yearly Cuil Lodair trophy for the best games table.
There will also be a chance for participating clubs to win prizes to the value of £200.
The Morayvia aerospace project are bringing two warplane cockpits for the public to climb into and experience.
Duncan Cook, learning officer at Culloden, said: "I’m really excited about this year’s event as I think our new trophy will attract some fantastic games. It’ll be the best yet!"
Entry to the fair is free, however, admission charges apply to the exhibition.
The learning team at Culloden will also be running weapons demonstrations and workshops in costume all day.
