A removal truck was soon on the scene to clear the road.

The A938 in Strathspey between Dulnain Bridge and Carrbridge was blocked earlier today (Wednesday, May 3) after a van left the road.

It ended upside down in a ditch.

There was only the one vehicle involved in the incident, which occurred on a bend near the Muckrach Lodge access road.

A passer-by told the Strathy the van had struck the barrier on the driver’s side before ending up on its nose.

The single occupant remains unnamed but is reported to have suffered only minor injuries.

The road was closed for some time this morning, with service buses from both directions being held up, but it had been re-opened by the afternoon.
