UPDATE: Woman (19) taken to hospital after emergency services called to incident on Kessock Bridge on A9

A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital following an incident on the Kessock Bridge in Inverness.

The bridge was closed in both directions last night as emergency services were called to the scene.

Kessock Bridge reopens following police incident

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to concern for a person at Kessock Bridge, Inverness at around 7.20pm on Wednesday, 24 August.

"A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

"The road was re-opened around 9pm."
