UPDATE: Bus and car involved in crash on the A86 near to Laggan





A man has been taken to Inverness’ Raigmore Hospital for treatment after a crash between a car and a bus on the A86.

The Newtonmore-Fort William road remains closed in both directions at Blagowan by Laggan.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a crash involving a bus and car on the A86 between Laggan and Newtonmore at about 9.04am today (Friday)

“Emergency services attended and a 36-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road is closed and recovery is being arranged for both vehicles.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

Police said there were no more details about the bus involved in the accident.

Fire appliances from across the region and from Highland Perthshire were also sent to the scene.
