Two people seriously injured in A9 crash in Badenoch

Police have said that two people have been badly injured in an accident on the A9 near Kingussie involving a car, motorbike and campervan.

The crash happened at around 2.45pm.

Diversions have been put in place south bound via the B9150 and northbound at the A86 junction at Kingussie, travelling through Newtonmore.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two people have been seriously injured as a result of the collision, the full extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

"The road is to remain closed to traffic in both directions while emergency services tend to those injured, carry out an investigation and vehicles are recovered."

Anyone with information regarding the collision is urged to call police on 101.
