Two Inverness men have appeared in private at the city's sheriff court on drugs charges.

James Stewart (61) is charged with being in possession of heroin and cannabis with intent to supply and Malachie Reid (21) with being in possession of heroin with intent to supply and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

No plea or declaration was made when they appeared privately on Monday before Sheriff David Sutherland. They were released on bail pending further inquiry.
