Two injured in A9 road accident near Dalwhinnie
Police have said that a man and a woman were injured in a road accident which closed the A9 for several hours yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
The three vehicle collision, involving a car, a van and a four by four vehicle, happened around 2.30pm one mile south of the south junction into Dalwhinnie.
The drivers of the van and car were removed by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
A force spokesperson said: "Neither the man nor the woman who were removed from the vehicles are described as being in a life threatening condition.
"No other person was injured as a result of the collision.
"One lane was open to vehicles shortly after 4pm and the road was fully reopened by 5.10pm.
"Anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to contact Police on 101."
