Highland Police have confirmed that last night’s A9 crash at Aviemore hospitalised three people.

A spokesman this morning told the Strathy: "We were called to a crash involving a car, a van and an HGV on the A9 north of the junction with the B9152 near Aviemore around 4.45pm on Friday, 2 August.

"Three people were taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road was closed for around three hours and subsequently reopened."

Roads through and around Aviemore were jam-packed as emergency services - police, ambulance and a fire crew from Kingussie - dealt with the incident and ultimately cleared the accident scene.
