First home was Jennifer Wetton, running the popular strath course for the first time, although clearly a very experienced runner.

"As well as many visitors, it was great to see a good number of locals enjoying the opportunity to walk, jog or run the 5km route," said race director Hilary Quick.

It was the 204th running of the event, welcoming some 40 first-timers.

There were 18 recorded new personal bests.
