Three of the Glencoe avalanche victims are named

Police have released the names of three of the four climbers killed in yesterday’s (Saturday) Glencoe avalanche.

They are Christopher William Bell, (24), from Blackpool, who was a student studying for a PHD in Ocean Mapping in Oban; Una Rachel Finnegan, (25), from County Antrim in Northern Ireland, a junior doctor living in Edinburgh; and Tom Chesters, (28), a PHD student at Hull University, living in Leeds.

The family of the fourth victim of the avalanche has requested that her name be held back until extended next of kin are informed.
