Don't ask Aviemore for a Covid passport!

Aviemore Medical Practice is reminding patients that Covid passports are not available to those who want to make the most of the relaxed travel regulations.

Coronavirus update.
Coronavirus update.

The doctors have posted the current position on "Proof of Covid vaccination status", advising:

"Please do not contact the practice to ask for a Covid vaccination passport or status certificate – we will not be able to provide any document."

Today's post on their Facebook page explains:

"International certification standards have not yet been agreed.

"The Scottish Government is working to support the re-opening of international travel once it is safe to do so and they are working with the other UK Nations and with the World Health Organisation to agree on potential future COVID certification requirements for international travel.

"As part of this, we understand the Scottish Government are developing a technical solution that could allow people to access their Covid vaccination status directly."

The doctors assured: "We will continue to update you as work on this progresses."
