He is still playing away, he says, but forced to gig at home he is creating more music than ever.

The result is then uploaded in clips and full songs to his streaming websites on Youtube, Spotify, Apple & Amazon Music under Stevie Macleod Music.

"I have created an all-new YouTube channel to share full songs and clips with people from home," he says.

The list includes the song and video "The Highlands" which was streamed around the country and found a huge audience enjoying its evocative melody and exquisite video footage of his homeland, shot by his partner Jocasta Mann, whose work can be seen at Jocasta Mann Creative on instagram.

"I'm planning playing live as soon as the lockdown is lifted in the valley," says Stevie.

"And I'm trying to inspire people the same as ever, despite what's going on, to keep up creative work.

"Our work is needed more than ever now."
