Police are appealing again for witnesses to the accident near Aviemore

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a teenager was struck by a car near Aviemore in the early hours of the New Year.

The collision occurred at around 4.30am on Wednesday January 1 on the A95 approximately two miles north of the village.

Police have said the 18-year-old pedestrian, who has not been named, is recovering from his injuries.

A Police Scotland said: "We would like to hear from anyone that was travelling on that stretch of road between 4am and 4.30am, and saw two males dressed in dark clothing walking at the side of the road.

"The 18-year-old man is recovering from his injuries and it is hoped he will be discharged from hospital over the coming days."
