SuBo set to appear in Eden Court musical
GLOBAL singing sensation Susan Boyle will join the cast of "I Dreamed A Dream", the musical based on her life story, at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness.
The singer is set to appear in the 11-week tour across the UK and Ireland.
Her appearance in the musical will be the first opportunity for people to watch her perform in the UK on stage since the Britain’s Got Talent tour in 2009.
"I am thrilled to be a part of the musical about my life story and very much looking forward to stepping on stage and performing with the cast," she said. "It is an honest portrayal of my life and has been a cathartic process to be involved in."
Taking on the lead role of Susan Boyle is Elaine C Smith, who is best known for her portrayal of Mary Doll, in Rab C Nesbitt.
"Having Susan join the cast to perform the finale of her musical is amazing for both ourselves and audiences across the UK and Ireland," said producer Michael Harrison.
"Susan continues to defy the odds and surprise the world with her record-breaking albums. Now she can add a musical to her list of achievements and I can’t wait to see the audience reaction when she walks on stage."
I Dreamed A Dream is on at Eden Court Theatre from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th June, 2012.
