Nethy Bridge's cutting Edges
No strangers to the Strathy headlines, the Edge boys of Nethy Bridge continue to produce great work both musically and visually.
Now singer-songwriter John Edge and his band The Kings of Nowhere are streaming their latest haunting single just in time for the Christmas market, and brother Phillip has put together a stunning video promotion.
“I’m mighty proud to introduce the single It Calls,” John told the Strathy from his base in Edinburgh.
“It’s a song about longing, love, dying, and following your path no matter how painful that may be.”
It happens to be a warm, soft, soulful walk through the mental woods and is a delight – as has already become very apparent.
“We just released it at the weekend and it is almost 2000 views already on Facebook,” John said.
Last year, the band chose to launch an outrageous cover track on the world, a version of Wham’s Last Christmas complete with Noel Edmonds style sweaters, but John confessed: “We decided not to go down the road of outlandish covers this time, but with a song of my own.”
n It calls is now available on all music streaming platforms or search online for John Edge Music.
